Richard Huntley | November 24, 2025

MultiCAD are providing 3D Point Cloud Scans and MEP designs for the £240m refurbishment of the Grade-II listed Barbican Centre in London.

The Barbican Renewal project, currently in Phase 1, aims to refurbish the Conservatory, Lakeside and Foyer areas of the centre, along with the catering block. The designs are currently going through public consultation, with detailed design to take place in 2026 and construction planned to start in 2027.

This first phase is expected to be completed by 2030 and will form part of a larger project estimated to cost £451m in total.
