Point Cloud & Scanning

3D Point Cloud Scanning uses lasers to survey a building and create an accurate digital model from the data. This method allows us to measure hard-to-reach points in your structure and create an accurate drawing or model of your space, complete with details such as wall texture and exposed MEP systems. We use our scans to create a measured building survey, which can include building services and other systems as required for your project.

Supplying accurate building data and models

Using lasers as part of our scans allows us to accurately measure a number of complex and delicate spaces. The information that we collect from each scan will be turned into Point Cloud data, which is imported to our software to produce a comprehensive measured building survey. This method of data collection is faster and more accurate than traditional surveying methods, allowing you to meet tight deadlines and gain detailed insights into the minutiae of your project.

Thanks to the precision of our point cloud scanning system, the data can also be turned into a BIM model that includes information from walls, doors and windows, as well as any exposed MEP systems or architectural elements. This information can be translated into 2D or 3D drawings or models, depending on your individual requirements and the specifics of your project.

Software Expertise

Our technology allows us to remove inaccuracies from traditional hand-drawn surveys. It can accurately detect irregularities on surfaces, which is useful in conservation and restoration projects. The data that a Point Cloud scan produces is more detailed than that of a traditional survey and is easily translated into a BIM model, allowing you to better understand an intricate space.
